The Bogota Rescue Squad has been in existence
for over 33 years. In 1984, it became a separate organization and was
incorporated in 1991. Prior to that, the Rescue Squad was part of the Bogota
Auxiliary Police. The Rescue Squad performs many functions such as extrication,
removal of trees or branches creating a hazardous condition, pumping out
basements, boarding up windows, giving mutual aid to other communities and
assisting the Police Department, Fire Department and First Aid Squad when
needed.
