Rate: $4.024 per hundred
Taxes are due: Feb. 1st, Mat 1st, Aug.1st and Nov.1st.
There is a ten day grace period. Payments received after the tenth
of the month are subject to interest at the rate of 8% to the first
$1500.00 and 18% for any amount exceeding $1500.00.
Senior Citizen Deduction: $250.00 per year. One owner must be
65 years old on the year preceding the year for which the deduction is
claimed. Husband and wife joint income combined cannot exceed $10,000
per year excluding social security and certain pensions. Call the tax
Collector at 347-1737 for additional information and application
forms.
Veteran's Deduction: $250.00 per year. Veterans must have
served during time of war but not necessarily overseas. |
